Air compressor COLTRI SMART 125 EM (formerly MCH8)

The SMART air compressor range is one of the most widely used machines in the world. Equipped with 2 flexible inflation outlets on the front, a drive motor, a robust compression block and a compact chassis with carrying handles. The chassis is suitable for transport and this version can be equipped with optional purges and automatic shut-off.

This version is suitable for users without a three-phase power supply.

The SMART range is equipped with the MCH8 compressor block developed by COLTRI since the end of the 1960s and constantly improved to meet the requirements of performance, air quality and robustness, required for use in the most severe conditions.

• A proven compressor block

The MCH8 is built to last. It has been tested in the most extreme conditions thousands of times around the world.

These machines are in operation in fire and rescue services in Europe, North America and Asia, and are capable of high load rates at operating pressures ranging from 330 bar to 420 bar.

COLTRI MCH8 units are also used on merchant ships and military vessels to meet the needs of on-board safety and divers.

Proven in the steel, automotive, plastics and petrochemical industries to meet production needs under severe operating conditions, it meets the needs of specific industrial processes.

In service on the military operation fields of many armies in the world, its robustness and reliability made it one of the selection criteria of the French army when renewing its machine park with 150 compressors dispatched on the different operation theatres in the world.

• Quality of the compressor block

The MCH8 compressor block is designed for professional applications. It is the essential component of the machine on which COLTRI has left nothing to chance.

All materials are machined from lightweight, energy-efficient alloys for increased reliability.

The ground cylinders of the air compressor have been treated to obtain a high surface hardness for high resistance to wear, friction, abrasion and seizure.

The crankshaft is mounted on robust SKF bearings, which guarantee a long life of the block even in high temperatures.

The block is painted with a special paint that provides excellent heat dissipation and protection against external influences in salty atmospheres. The paint allows for easier maintenance when cleaning the cooling coils.

The 316L stainless steel interstage cooling coils are sized to provide optimum cooling and allow for longer filter cartridge life.

The COLTRI MCH8 block is designed to compress air and NITROX mixtures to 40% Oxygen.

• A compact chassis

The welded chassis of the SMART range allows for good cooling flow and protects the user. The frame integrates the electric motor, the compression block, the filtration system and 2 flexible outlets with an inflation valve. The epoxy powder coating provides effective protection in hostile environments.

• Filtration for Breathable Air Quality

The SMART air compressor range is equipped with several filtration systems to ensure air quality in accordance with the requirements of the EN 12021:2014 standard.

The compressor block is equipped with cyclone separators on the 2nd and 3rd stage. The MAXIFILTRE final filtration provides oil, odour and water filtration down to a dew point of -60°C.

An optional start-up box system and automatic purge and shut-off available!

The SMART range of air compressors can be equipped with an automatic purge and stop system as an option or retrofit.

The control box allows the compressor to be started and stopped and the operating hours to be monitored with the hour meter.

The automatic purge system fitted to the compressor is silent and efficient. Its adjustable timer allows the purge frequency to be adapted to the ambient humidity level.

The compressor's purge block is designed to consume a minimum of air when discharging condensate in order to maintain flow performance.

The automatic purge system is equipped with a condensate recovery system with silencer. It prevents the release of oily residues into the environment.
