FOURTH ELEMENT

Behind FOURTH ELEMENT are two enthusiasts, Paul Strike and Jim Standing, who decided in 1999 to completely rethink thermal protection for diving.

FOURTH ELEMENT offers a complete range of technical undergarments to wear under a drysuit, from wetsuits to drysuits, shorty neoprene suits and all kinds of accessories to accompany you on your diving trips!

Far from traditional industrial equipment, the brand uses a scientific approach to keep divers warm in the harshest conditions, from the icy waters of the Arctic to deep technical explorations. It has become the global benchmark thanks to its layering system, which allows each piece of the brand's clothing to be integrated into a modular layering system, ideal for extending your dives while staying dry.

The Fourth Element Range

The success of Fourth Element is built on carefully listening to the diving community. Feedback analysis shows that the main concerns for divers are numbness due to cold and loss of mobility caused by overly thick layers. Furthermore, the community has expressed a clear need for warm, high-performance gear that doesn't overlook environmental concerns: "Ocean Positive".

Choosing a Fourth Element undersuit like the Halo AR, Arctic, or Xerotherm means equipping yourself with cutting-edge materials like aerogel, while supporting a company concretely committed to ocean protection.

To meet these challenges, the brand relies on innovative technologies and offers an extensive premium range, designed to meet the specific needs of every diver.

Fourth Element Halo AR Undersuit

The Fourth Element Halo A·R one-piece undersuit features aerogel thermal insulation—a NASA-developed technology—strategically placed in areas subject to the highest compression. It provides maximum thermal protection without adding unnecessary buoyancy, making weighting considerably easier.

The Halo A·R is designed to be worn over a thin technical base layer (such as J2 or Xerotherm) to optimize moisture wicking and thermal comfort. Thanks to stretch panels at the joints, it fits perfectly under a drysuit without restricting freedom of movement, even for the most cold-sensitive divers.

Designed for very cold water or dives with long deco stops, this suit is a warmer solution than the Fourth Element Arctic. Its technical outer shell is water-repellent and windproof, effectively protecting against drafts before getting in the water and allowing it to be worn comfortably on the boat while waiting for the dive.

Fourth Element Arctic and Xerotherm Range

True benchmarks in layering systems, these garments wick moisture away from the skin to keep you dry. The technical range is designed for effective thermal protection under a drysuit by combining complementary layers: Xerotherm as a base layer and Arctic as an insulating layer.

Fourth Element Arctic Range

The Fourth Element Arctic undersuit relies on a dual-layer structure of dense fibers that trap air to create a true barrier against the cold. This design ensures consistent warmth throughout the dive while maintaining a moderate thickness for excellent freedom of movement under a drysuit.

The fabric promotes perspiration wicking, preventing moisture from sitting against the skin. Its one-piece design limits air entry at the waist and makes dressing easier, especially on a boat. It also maintains its insulating properties even when wet, providing extra safety in case of a minor drysuit leak.

Fourth Element Xerotherm Range

The Xerotherm is widely considered by the diving community as the ultimate technical base layer for drysuit diving. It is made from Polartec Power Stretch fabric.

This technical textile traps a thin layer of air against the skin, providing effective insulation without adding bulk. It also features excellent moisture-wicking properties, keeping you dry and comfortable during long efforts. Flatlock seams reduce chafing, and thumb loops make it easy to don your drysuit.

Fourth Element Proteus II Wet Suit

The Fourth Element Proteus II wet suit is the ultimate choice if you're torn between a wet suit and a semi-dry. It offers the comfort of a wet suit with insulation nearing that of a semi-dry. It is expertly designed: with its Hydrolock double neck seal and wrist seals, water circulation is minimized, keeping you warm throughout your dive.

Inside, the torso is lined with Hexcore to protect vital areas from the cold, while the rest is ultra-flexible for maximum comfort. It also features high-stretch knee pads and a long pull-cord on the back zip for easy self-donning.

Innovations and Accessories

Ellipse Dry Glove System

This ring system allows for the reliable attachment of dry gloves to the suit's wrist seals, ensuring dry hands even during complex technical tasks.

Thermocline Innovation

This neoprene alternative is made from recycled fishing nets. It is completely neutrally buoyant, machine washable, and ideal for divers with skin allergies to traditional neoprene.

Fourth Element Diving Masks

The Seeker diving mask was developed with one goal: maximizing the field of vision while providing the comfort of a low-volume mask. Its unique design brings the lenses closer to the face, opening up the view to the sides and downwards.

Fourth Element Neoprene Accessories

Discover the range of small neoprene gear from Fourth Element. From hoods to gloves and boots, find the essentials to complete your kit.

Fourth Element Neoprene Hood

Fourth Element Neoprene Hoods are available in 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm thicknesses. Made with stretch neoprene, their flexibility is surprising from the very first try-on, avoiding the temple compression found in many 7mm models.

Fourth Element HYDROLOCK Neoprene Gloves

Hydrolock Neoprene Gloves are designed for divers seeking dry-glove-like comfort without the hassle. The smooth internal seal minimizes water circulation, and the high-quality stretch neoprene ensures constant insulation even down to 40 meters deep.

Fourth Element PELAGIC 6.5mm Neoprene Boots

PELAGIC 6.5mm Boots are among the most robust on the market. The stiff sole is a major advantage for shore entries, protecting the foot from sharp rocks while remaining flexible enough for fluid finning.
