DIVEVOLK 447g Float Arm

  • 447g positive buoyancy: counterbalances the weight of your torches or housing in the water to reduce wrist fatigue.
  • 25 mm (1 inch) double ball joint: compatible with all standard clamp and articulated arm systems on the market.
  • High-pressure waterproof design: a perfectly sealed hollow body that guarantees constant buoyancy, even during deep dives.
  • Black anodised finish: a surface treatment that reduces unwanted reflections and protects the arm from micro-scratches and impacts.

DIVEVOLK 447g Buoyancy Arm

The Divevolk 447g buoyancy arm significantly reduces wrist fatigue, particularly for videographers and photographers using heavy set-ups (powerful lights, dual camera mounts, Seatouch Max Plus housings). By generating upward buoyancy, it makes the entire rig almost neutral in the water.

This is the key to achieving stable, shake-free images. By balancing the weight on either side of the plate, you gain in comfort and framing precision.

This accessory truly transforms the underwater shooting experience, making heavy equipment much more manageable, to the point where it can be handled with just your fingertips.

Technical specifications:

  • Buoyancy: +447 grams.
  • Length: approximately 25 cm (10 inches) between the two ball joints.
  • Diameter: 60 mm for optimised air volume.
  • Material: 6061 anodised aluminium.
  • Mounting: standard 1" (25 mm) ball joints at each end.

Diveavenue expert’s opinion

Using a buoyancy arm is like your video equipment weighing nothing once submerged. What I like about this Divevolk model is its size-to-buoyancy ratio: it’s not too bulky but it really takes the weight off a light like the SL50 or SL120. It’s the difference between coming out of the water with sore wrists or having enjoyed filming for an hour without even thinking about it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many arms should I fit to my camera mount ? It depends on your total weight in the water. Ideally, install one on each side of your board to perfectly balance the whole setup. If you only have one light, a single arm may suffice, but the balance will be less natural.

Can it be used at 40 or 60 metres ? Yes: the aerospace-grade aluminium construction is designed to withstand crushing. Unlike foam arms that compress and lose buoyancy with depth, this tubular arm remains effective whatever your dive profile.

Are the ball joints removable ? No: they are an integral part of the structure to ensure the arm body is completely watertight. The seal is factory-sealed to prevent any water ingress.

DIVEVOLK Double Clamp

  •  Locking mechanism: a precision jaw that grips 25 mm (1-inch) ball heads firmly to prevent your torches from tilting during the dive.
  • Ergonomics: a wide, textured clamping lever that is easy to operate even when wearing thick drysuit gloves or with wet hands.
  • Universal compatibility: designed to standardise your kit, it fits all 1-inch ball heads on the market (Divevolk, Bigblue, Nauticam, Marelux etc.).
  • Made from anodised aluminium

Allows you to position your lights or strobes with great freedom to eliminate particles from your images.

DIVEVOLK Double Clamp

The Divevolk double clamp is designed for divers who wish to build or extend their articulated arm: it forms the link between your base plate, your float arms and your lights.

This Divevolk model features an internal spring for easy adjustment: the clamp does not open fully when loosened, preventing your equipment from dangling loosely.

Technical specifications of the DIVEVOLK double clamp

  • Material: high-strength aluminium.
  • Compatibility: 25 mm diameter ball joints (standard 1").
  • Integrated spring: yes, for assisted holding during adjustment.
  •  Colour: discreet matt black.

The Diveavenue expert’s opinion

We tend to overlook clamps, but that’s a mistake. What I like about the Divevolk clamp is the length of the clamping lever: you get a great grip to secure the arm without having to use excessive force. It’s lightweight but feels sturdy. A quick tip: rinse them thoroughly with fresh water after every dive to prevent salt from seizing up the screw thread.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you need more than one per arm ? Yes: you need one per joint. For example, if you want to attach an arm between your camera mount and your torch, you’ll need two clamps (one on each side of the arm).

Can they be used with arms from other brands ? Absolutely: as long as your ball heads are 25 mm in diameter (the global standard for underwater photography), these clamps will do the job perfectly.

Does the paint wear off over time ? The black anodised finish is very durable. Of course, with repeated friction against the ball joints, normal signs of wear may appear on the inside of the jaws, but this does not affect the clamping force in any way.

Divevolk SL20 Diving Light

  • Power: a light output of 2000 lumens
  • Colour temperature: 5600K
  • Waterproof to 100 metres
  • Beam: a wide, even 100° spread with no central hotspot, ideal for illuminating a scene as a whole or for getting started with close-up video.
  • Compact: a small torch that fits discreetly in a BCD pocket or on an articulated arm, perfect for lightweight setups.
  • Colour rendering (CRI 80): balanced light quality that allows natural colours to be seen underwater, a far cry from the washed-out look of low-end LEDs.
  • Charging time: approximately 3 hours of charging for a runtime of 2.30 hours

Divevolk SL20 Dive Light

The Divevolk SL20 is designed for divers looking for a supplementary light for photography or to illuminate their dives: its 100° beam angle strikes an excellent balance between illuminating a wide area without dazzling marine life. A model that offers good power for its size and a good power-to-weight ratio at just 260g.

Its USB-C rechargeable battery (charged directly via the unit) makes it a modern and practical torch for weekend dives.

It is an ideal dive light to pair with a SeaTouch Max Plus smartphone housing: it provides just the right amount of light to dispel shadows at close range and bring out the reds in your photos.

Technical specifications of the Divevolk SL20 Dive Light

  • Maximum output: 2000 lumens.
  • Beam angle: 100 degrees.
  • Power supply: 18650 Li-ion battery (rechargeable via USB-C).
  • Charge indicator: coloured LED ring around the switch.
  • Weight: lightweight and easy to handle, perfect for travelling.

The Diveavenue expert’s opinion

The SL20 is the torch you always have with you. What I like about it is its versatility: it’s bright enough to shoot a nice little video with your phone, but also powerful enough to serve as your main torch for standard recreational diving. The USB-C port built into the battery is a real convenience when travelling; no need to carry a separate external charger.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can it be used as a backup torch ?  Absolutely: its compact size and reliability make it an excellent backup torch. It fits anywhere and will provide effective lighting if your main torch fails.

Does it come with a housing mount ? The SL20 usually comes with a wrist strap and sometimes a ball-joint or YS-type mount, depending on the package. Make sure you check your mounting requirements if you plan to attach it to an articulated arm.

How long does the battery last ? At full power, you’ll get around an hour of continuous light. That’s more than enough for a standard recreational dive, especially if you adjust the power levels to save energy.
