DIVEVOLK 447g Float Arm

  • 447g positive buoyancy: counterbalances the weight of your torches or housing in the water to reduce wrist fatigue.
  • 25 mm (1 inch) double ball joint: compatible with all standard clamp and articulated arm systems on the market.
  • High-pressure waterproof design: a perfectly sealed hollow body that guarantees constant buoyancy, even during deep dives.
  • Black anodised finish: a surface treatment that reduces unwanted reflections and protects the arm from micro-scratches and impacts.

DIVEVOLK 447g Float Arm

DIVEVOLK 447g Buoyancy Arm

The Divevolk 447g buoyancy arm significantly reduces wrist fatigue, particularly for videographers and photographers using heavy set-ups (powerful lights, dual camera mounts, Seatouch Max Plus housings). By generating upward buoyancy, it makes the entire rig almost neutral in the water.

This is the key to achieving stable, shake-free images. By balancing the weight on either side of the plate, you gain in comfort and framing precision.

This accessory truly transforms the underwater shooting experience, making heavy equipment much more manageable, to the point where it can be handled with just your fingertips.

Technical specifications:

  • Buoyancy: +447 grams.
  • Length: approximately 25 cm (10 inches) between the two ball joints.
  • Diameter: 60 mm for optimised air volume.
  • Material: 6061 anodised aluminium.
  • Mounting: standard 1" (25 mm) ball joints at each end.

Diveavenue expert’s opinion

Using a buoyancy arm is like your video equipment weighing nothing once submerged. What I like about this Divevolk model is its size-to-buoyancy ratio: it’s not too bulky but it really takes the weight off a light like the SL50 or SL120. It’s the difference between coming out of the water with sore wrists or having enjoyed filming for an hour without even thinking about it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many arms should I fit to my camera mount ? It depends on your total weight in the water. Ideally, install one on each side of your board to perfectly balance the whole setup. If you only have one light, a single arm may suffice, but the balance will be less natural.

Can it be used at 40 or 60 metres ? Yes: the aerospace-grade aluminium construction is designed to withstand crushing. Unlike foam arms that compress and lose buoyancy with depth, this tubular arm remains effective whatever your dive profile.

Are the ball joints removable ? No: they are an integral part of the structure to ensure the arm body is completely watertight. The seal is factory-sealed to prevent any water ingress.
