TUSA has designed the Liberator to provide a simple, adjustable buoyancy compensator that is highly durable and suited to the demands of club diving.

Made from 500D Cordura nylon, this model features TUSA’s independent harness system and Ultimate Stabilisation Harness, which ensure the cylinder is held firmly against the back whilst preventing any feeling of chest compression when inflating.

The TUSA Liberator BCD features a quick-release system and can hold up to 3.63 kg of weight, allowing weight pockets to be inserted and removed easily with a single movement.

Two large zipped pockets provide storage for accessories, whilst the tank strap, fitted with a RiteTite buckle, ensures the tank is locked in place quickly and securely.

Is the A.W.L.S. III drop-out weight system easy to operate underwater ?

Yes, the A.W.L.S. III system is designed to be locked and unlocked with one hand. A distinct click confirms that the weight pouch has been correctly inserted, and a handle allows you to remove the weights instantly in an emergency.

Is it possible to add extra weight pockets to the back of the BCD ? The BCD is primarily configured with the A.W.L.S. III system at the front. However, fixed weight pockets (Trim Pockets) can be added to the tank strap depending on the diver’s balance preferences.

How should the BCD be maintained to extend its lifespan ? Rinse the outside and inside of the bladder thoroughly with fresh water after every dive to remove salt crystals. Drain any standing water via the inflator or the lower drain valve, then leave the BCD to dry whilst slightly inflated, away from direct sunlight.
