TUSA has designed the Soverin-Alpha BCD for divers looking for an adjustable BCD that is robust, comfortable and packed with features. It features the Independent Harness System and the Ultimate Stabilisation Harness, which hold the cylinder firmly against the back whilst preventing the bladder from compressing the torso when inflated.

This model incorporates the quick-release weight system, complemented by additional weight pockets at the back (Trim Pockets) to fine-tune your trim whilst diving. The high-density 3D back padding and adjustable shoulder straps provide ergonomic support and comfort during long dives. Furthermore, the RiteTite quick-release strap and adjustable waist belt ensure a perfect fit against the body.

What is the purpose of the rear trim pockets?

They allow you to place some of your (non-jettisonable) weights on either side of the cylinder. This balances your centre of gravity underwater to maintain a perfect horizontal position (trim) without overloading the front pockets.

How is the retractable pocket useful?

This extra pocket unfolds when you need additional storage space for a parachute or gloves, and folds away discreetly inside the vest to maintain a hydrodynamic profile when empty.

What is the best way to look after your Soverin-Alpha BCD after a dive?

Rinse the outside of the BCD and the inside of the bladder thoroughly with fresh water after every saltwater dive. Drain any accumulated water via the inflator or the lower drain valve, then leave it to dry whilst half-inflated, in the shade and hung on a wide hanger.
