Bigblue has designed the CB11000PBRC video and photography light to meet the needs of underwater videographers and photographers. It delivers 11,000 lumens with a very wide 120-degree beam free from hotspots, ensuring even lighting for your shots.

Its COB LED technology offers a high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of 85 to faithfully reproduce natural colours underwater. The torch also features red LEDs to approach wildlife without startling it, as well as an integrated optical sensor compatible with the optional wireless remote control (or fibre-optic cable) to adjust the brightness remotely without letting go of the handles on its mounting plate.

This model is suitable for underwater videographers, professional photographers and reef photography enthusiasts. Its battery life ranges from 1.5 hours at full power to 15 hours at the lowest setting, thanks to the rechargeable 18650x4 Li-ion battery pack. The anodised aluminium body is shock-resistant and offers certified waterproofing to a depth of 100 metres.

The rear LED display shows the battery charge level and the selected power level in real time.

The ‘RC’ designation indicates that the light is fitted with an optical sensor. By connecting a fibre-optic cable linked to the Bigblue remote control, you can adjust the brightness of both lights simultaneously directly from your camera control unit.

Why is a 120° beam angle important for underwater videography?

A very wide 120° beam angle covers the entire field of view of a camera or wide-angle lens (such as a fisheye) without creating dark edges or an overly intense ‘spot’ in the centre of the image.

How should the torch and battery pack be maintained after dives?

Rinse the torch with fresh water after each dive by pressing the push-button. Before opening the battery compartment to recharge, dry the aluminium body thoroughly, then inspect and lightly grease the O-rings with silicone grease.
