Our orange buoy is specially designed to clearly indicate the diver’s position, thanks to its bright colour and reflective strip.

It can be inflated by mouth or using the regulator’s second stage. At the top of the buoy, a transparent pocket allows you to insert a strobe light for increased visibility.

A 1.80 m parachute gives you peace of mind when surfacing in the open sea. What I like about this Bigblue model is the quality of the valve: it’s very responsive. Once inflated, it stays taut as a string, which is crucial for rescue teams or your support boat to spot you from a distance. It’s a slightly longer size than average, but safety is priceless.

Why choose a closed-top model (duckbill) ? The huge advantage is that if your parachute lies flat on the water due to a lack of tension on the line, it won’t deflate. It remains operational and visible until you retrieve it from the surface.

How do you attach it so it doesn’t get in the way ? It comes with a small fastening system (elastic or strap). Ideally, attach it to a reel or spool and secure it to a D-ring on your BCD using a double-lock carabiner.

Is it easy to inflate at depth ? Yes: the lower opening is wide enough to let air through from your regulator. The pressure relief valve takes care of the rest whilst the parachute rises rapidly to the surface.
