HALCYON PHASER Primary dive light

The compact Halcyon Phaser primary torch provides the brightness required for exploration dives without the bulk of a canister attached to your belt. Its piercing 50,000 lux beam cuts through murky waters and facilitates clear visual signalling amongst the team. Featuring a fold-away Goodman handle and a mechanical control ring, it can be operated precisely even whilst wearing thick gloves. Its internal battery also serves as a backup power source for recharging your equipment on the surface via USB-C.

We tested the Halcyon Phaser for you during exploratory dives in a quarry and on a wreck. What stood out to us in the field was the intensity of the central beam, which cuts through the murk without producing any distracting backscatter, allowing you to signal a team-mate from a clear distance. The absence of an umbilical cable gives you complete freedom of movement in your harness whilst maintaining the effectiveness of a traditional primary torch. Between dives on the boat, the USB-C reverse charging function allowed us to recharge a backup dive computer without needing an external charger.

How does the reverse charging function (power bank) work?

The built-in USB-C port not only allows you to charge the 29 Wh internal battery, but also to connect a cable to charge your compatible electronic devices, such as a mobile phone or a decompression computer.

Is the Goodman handle compatible with waterproof gloves?

The Goodman articulated handle leaves enough space to fit a hand wearing waterproof gloves or thick neoprene gloves, whilst also allowing the whole unit to be folded away for transport.
