The Tecline Peanut 16 wing is the ideal choice for smaller divers around 1.60m tall: its unique, one-of-a-kind asymmetrical design ensures complete and instantaneous air release, eliminating any residual air bubbles that can sometimes become trapped on the sides during the ascent.
Perfectly suited to 10L to 15L single-tank systems, it offers precise buoyancy control thanks to the optimised positioning of the inflator and valve. In terms of durability, it features a double-layer construction combining an inner chamber made of PU240 and an outer protective layer of 1000D Cordura.
The Peanut 16 is a minor revolution for single-tank diving. What I like is that the air circulates much better than in a classic round wing: you no longer get that ‘lopsided’ feeling on the sides. It’s very narrow, which reduces drag in the water and makes diving much smoother. It’s top-quality kit that radically improves your comfort underwater.
Can it be used with a twin-tank setup? No, the Peanut 16 is strictly for single-tank use. For a twin 10L or twin 12L setup, you’ll need to look at the Donut range, which is designed for twin tanks.
Is a single-tank adapter (STA) essential? The Peanut 16 has slots for the tank straps, so it can be mounted directly onto a backplate. However, the use of an STA adapter is still recommended for perfect lateral stability.
Is it compatible with all plates on the market ? Yes, it complies with the standard centre-to-centre distance of 280 mm (11 inches). It fits without any problems onto stainless steel or aluminium plates from Tecline, Apeks, XDeep or other technical brands.
