TUSA Tina BCD

TUSA Tina BCD

TUSA has developed the Tina BCD especially for women, featuring a high-waisted cut. This design frees up the hips and eliminates uncomfortable pressure points caused by the weight belt or the bottom of the BCD. The independent harness isolates the air cell from the main structure: inflation does not put any pressure on the torso and the tank remains perfectly flush against the back.

The shoulder pads and the ergonomic, quick-drying back pad provide optimal cushioning. When it comes to weighting, the TUSA Tina buoyancy compensator features a quick-release attachment system with a simple and intuitive locking mechanism.

Diveavenue’s expert review of the TUSA Tina buoyancy compensator

“The Tina BCD solves one of the biggest problems with unisex BCDs: discomfort around the hips. Its high-cut design and independent harness allow you to inflate the BCD without ever feeling constricted. The A.W.L.S. III weight release system is extremely smooth to operate, and the quick-drying back padding is a real bonus when travelling. ”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does the Independent Harness System (I.H.S.) improve comfort?

The I.H.S. separates the inflatable bladder from the harness. When you inflate the BCD to its maximum capacity on the surface, the air expands outwards without constricting your chest or waist.

How do the repositionable D-rings work?

TUSA allows you to move certain attachment rings along the BCD’s frame. This means you can raise or lower the attachment points to secure your torch, reel or camera at exactly the height you want.

How should I look after the BCD after a series of dives?

Rinse the outside and inside of the bladder thoroughly with fresh water after every dive in the sea to remove salt. Completely drain the water from the bladder via the inflator, then leave the BCD to dry, half-inflated, out of direct sunlight.
