SEAC Ultraflex Diving Gloves
The SEAC 5 mm Ultraflex Diving Gloves are made from super-flexible neoprene that moulds to the shape of the hands without restricting finger movement, making it easier to handle instruments, carabiners or adjust equipment whilst underwater.
The palm and the inside of the fingers are covered with a non-slip rubber micro-grip pattern, ensuring a firm and secure grip on handles, ropes and cameras. The bonded and stitched external seams reduce water ingress to retain body heat in cool to temperate waters.
The pre-shaped cut follows the natural position of the wrist and fingers at rest, minimising muscle fatigue during long dives. The snug cuff slips easily under the wetsuit sleeves to form an effective thermal barrier.
“The 5 mm Ultraflex gloves offer a real solution for those who worry about losing sensation in their hands. Thanks to the ultra-flexible neoprene, you retain the sensitivity needed to handle a carabiner or adjust your dive computer, whilst still benefiting from the thermal protection of a 5 mm glove. The non-slip palm provides excellent grip on your equipment. ”
How do I choose the right size for 5 mm gloves? Measure the width of your palm and the length of your middle finger. The glove should fit snugly against the skin without squeezing the fingertips too tightly, to avoid restricting blood flow, which would make your hands feel cold.
How can I put on my neoprene gloves easily? Ultra-Stretch neoprene stretches very well. You can dampen the inside of the glove with a little fresh water (or soapy water) to help it slide on without straining the seams at the wrist.
What is the recommended aftercare following a dive? Rinse your gloves with fresh water after every dive in salt water or murky water. Leave them to dry flat or hung by the wrists, in the shade and away from direct UV rays, turning them inside out if necessary to ensure they dry completely.
