Lumilink Marelux fibre optic cable

Lumilink Marelux fibre optic cable

Synchronisation between your camera and your external flashes depends on the quality of the light transmission. This Lumilink cable uses high-precision multi-strand fibre that minimises signal loss, ensuring your flashes fire instantly. Its coiled design offers the flexibility needed to position your flashes without putting mechanical strain on the connectors, whilst remaining compact for transport.

Diveavenue's expert opinion

We tested this cable for you during burst mode sessions, and the Lumilink’s responsiveness is exemplary. What I particularly like is the quality of the connectors, which stay firmly in place even after repeated use. The multi-strand structure is a real advantage over traditional single-strand fibres: it carries more light, which makes the trigger more reliable, especially if you’re using low-power optical triggers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the cable compatible with Inon strobes? Yes: the connectors are in the standard Sea & Sea format, which means it can be used with Inon Z-330 and D-200 strobes, as well as Retra and Sea & Sea models.

What length should I choose for my setup? The 30 cm model is ideal for short arms in macro photography. For wide-angle photography with long articulated arms, we recommend the 50 cm version to ensure complete freedom of movement without putting any strain on the fibre.

What should I do if my flash doesn’t fire? First, check that the ends of the fibre are clean and fully inserted into the connectors. A single grain of sand or misalignment can block the light signal.
