TECLINE XT 6 mm Diving Boots

TECLINE XT 6 mm Diving Boots

This model is suitable for divers who need to walk before entering the water, whether on a pebble beach, a slippery ramp or when climbing a boat ladder whilst carrying a heavy tank on their back.

The rigid sole prevents the squashing sensation typical of conventional booties. Tecline has added vulcanised rubber reinforcements to the toe and heel to minimise wear caused by friction. This is a suitable choice for lake and quarry diving, or for open-water dives all year round.

Diveavenue’s expert review of the TECLINE XT 6 mm diving booties

The stiffness of the sole, combined with the instep strap, improves energy transfer when finning, particularly with heavy fins. The titanium lining reflects body heat. This model is suitable for those who walk on sharp pebbles when entering the water.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the anti-puncture insert restrict foot movement ? The plate provides rigidity under the foot so you can walk on sharp surfaces without pain, but the neoprene remains flexible at the ankle, allowing the foot to bend normally.
Should I choose a larger size to account for the thickness ? The boot already allows for the space required by the 6 mm neoprene. Order your usual size. If you wear a half size, such as a 42.5, select the size above.
How can I prevent the zips from jamming ? Rinse the zips with fresh water after dives, sliding the slider back and forth to remove salt and sand. Applying a silicone lubricant from time to time helps keep the mechanism running smoothly.
