Divevolk has just unveiled its new smartphone waterproof housing, the SeaTouch 6 Pro. The sixth generation of a line that has already proven itself among divers and underwater photography enthusiasts (Divevolk Seatouch 4 Max Plus), this new model certified waterproof down to 60 meters promises an experience even closer to using your phone on dry land.
Here is what really changes, and how it compares to the well-established SeaTouch 4 Max Plus and Platinum models in the range.
Divevolk announces six main upgrades compared to the previous generation. Some are noticeable from the very first use, while others are more discreet yet just as useful over time.
At the core of the system is the membrane that covers the screen and transmits touch inputs through the housing. On the SeaTouch 6 Pro, this membrane reaches its sixth generation, featuring a material claimed to be more durable and tested to withstand over 150,000 presses, compared to 100,000 on the SeaTouch 4 Max Plus. In practice, this means a membrane designed to last longer without losing sensitivity—a point frequently mentioned in user feedback on older generations.
Underwater, warm colors disappear quickly with depth. The SeaTouch 6 Pro now features a red filter that mounts directly onto the lens port without needing to buy an additional bracket, delivering truer colors between 0 and 10 meters. An option designed primarily for freediving, snorkeling, and surface water sports, where natural light remains sufficient.
A subtle yet practical addition: a dedicated slot now allows you to slip a desiccant insert inside the housing to limit fogging on the lens during temperature changes, such as moving from cold water into warmer air. The insert can be swapped in seconds without tools and is included in the base package.
The housing offers increased internal volume, accommodating up to 18 mm in thickness compared to 15 mm on the previous model. That is enough space not only for the entire iPhone lineup, but also for some of the thickest Android smartphones on the market, such as certain recent Vivo or Xiaomi models. All major brands remain covered: Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Google, OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo.
The opening of the front port has been enlarged to cover all smartphone lenses, regardless of how many rear cameras your device has. Another practical benefit: you no longer need to reposition the dome when switching phones or lenses—the new AquaLock system attaches in a single gesture.
On the SeaTouch 4 Max, returning to the home screen underwater required enabling an accessibility shortcut on the phone (AssistiveTouch), as the swipe-up gesture could not be properly replicated through the membrane. The SeaTouch 6 Pro fixes this issue with native support for the gesture, requiring no prior setup on your phone before diving.

Like previous versions in the lineup, the SeaTouch 6 Pro lets you bring your phone underwater and fully leverage its photo and video capabilities. The screen remains crystal clear through the housing, and full touchscreen access allows you to navigate apps and use all standard camera controls: wide-angle, zoom, video modes, and night mode.
Waterproofing relies on a dual-layer gasket sealing system, allowing the housing to reach depths of up to 60 meters. The absence of mechanical buttons, replaced entirely by touch controls, eliminates potential leak points commonly found on traditional housings with physical buttons.
Another advantage for divers: your phone remains functional during safety stops. Waiting time becomes an opportunity to review photos and videos taken during the dive, or simply use your phone normally while waiting to ascend.
This solution allows you to upgrade your setup gradually based on your actual needs. Rather than investing right away in a professional camera housing like Marelux, Nauticam, or Ikelite, having a smartphone in your pocket is enough to start shooting underwater. The SeaTouch 6 Pro acts as a gateway to help you get comfortable with underwater imaging before eventually moving on to specialized gear once you've mastered the basics.
