Bring out the incredible underwater colors and intricate detail of marine life with the Aqualite®. Fish and invertebrates hiding under ledges and holes often receive little ambient sunlight and require additional lighting for underwater videos to come to life. Lighting the foreground with daylight colored Aqualite illumination while allowing the delicate blues and greens of the open water background to fade into the depths can produce prize winning videos.
Powerful Light with Solid Construction
The robust design throughout features double o-rings on the front and back rotary seals, anodized machined Hydralum ™ power head and rotary switch, high impact ABS anti-corrosion body and stainless steel thread attachments. The construction of the Aqualite® Video is solid and simple. Performance is peaked by allowing direct cooling of the LED and electronics through the anodized corrosion resistant head and tail switch. The body is molded from ABS to also prevent sea water corrosion. The switching is all mechanical in order to avoid interference with your compass from magnetic switches.
Burn time is more than enough: 1.3 hour (600 lumens), 2.3 hour (340 lumens), 4.2 hour (220 lumens) or 8.8 hour (115 lumens). Depth rated to 500 feet.
Choose from Three Different Lamp Heads
The Aqualite® is available in three models with different coverage. The Aqualite® (90°) has the widest uniform coverage, whereas the Aqualite® (65°) has a narrower beam, but more intensity. Use the 90° beam for the ultrawide fisheye type cameras like the GoPro® and the 65° beam for the housed point and shoot cameras and integrated U/W cameras like SeaLife®. The 20° beam is perfect for use as a primary dive light day or night.
The brightness can be stepped up from 100 to 650 lumens in 4 levels (full, ½, 1/3, 1/6) using the rear power dial. The 4 step adjustment in brightness gives you the opportunity to control the brightness of highlights and shadows with studio type lighting. Or, just dial down the power to 115 lumens and it'll go for up to 9 hours as a focusing light.
Mounting the Aqualite® to your camera rig is easy. UK provides two ¼-20 threaded screw holes (1.2 inches apart) on the side of the light which allow it to be connected to almost any ball joint or flexible photo arm on the market. The arm makers all have adapters for this type of attachment. See below for recommended arms and adapters not sold by Underwater Kinetics.
Power is supplied by a lithium ion battery which is charged from any USB power outlet or the included wall adapter. An additional battery is also included, so that one can be on charge while the other is out diving. Also, all batteries eventually wear out. The Aqualite® will not require a trip back to the manufacturer for replacement.
Those of you who are more experienced in underwater video will appreciate the fact that the Aqualite® is so small that you can use two or more lights and still not be over weighted. A pair of Aqualites set at different brightness levels will add additional dimension and beauty to an underwater subject.

So if you want to add color and make a big leap in quality for your underwater videos or still photos, the high intensity wide angle Aqualite® is a great choice.
